During 2009 Liquisort Holding and Overdie Metals B.V. started a cooperation which resulted in the founding of the joint venture Liquisort Overdie B.V. The strongest elements of both organisations form a solid base for the new company and offers superb perspectives for both nearby and long term future. The management of both organisations is highly enthusiastic about the opportunities and the overall potential of the joint venture. Also the personnel of the shareholders is extremely positive about the decision to join forces. The exchange of knowledge inspires, new perceptions come into existence and innovative ideas are launched.

The Overdie Group of companies has a number of locations in the Noord-Holland Provence. The main office is located at the Overdie Industrial Estate in Alkmaar. The Overdie Group owns several recycling facilities which are all equipped with heavy recycling machinery such as scrap shears, cranes and loaders. The company operates also a complete metal cleanser with vertical rotor for its various recycling operations. Several cleaning- and sorting steps guarantee clean and thoroughly separated end products. The Overdie Transport division is based in Zaandam Seaport where all kind of vessels can be loaded and unloaded at their own premises.

Liquisort Overdie B.V. operates, at their Alkmaar location, a state of the art recycling plant. At this highly innovative sorting line various non-ferrous metal streams can be separated in clean non-ferrous fractions. The core of this plant is the unique MDS separator. Due to the fact that this technology uses just a single property of the material, its density, and does not depend on the size or shape of the particles it is possible to achieve a very clean separation. Because of the fact that besides the MDS separator all kind of other high-end machinery is integrated, a high purity grade of the various end product is guaranteed. So are sieving-, classifying- and washing machines installed. Also, rare-earth, magnetic systems and Bakker Magnetics Eddy Current non-ferrous separators of the latest generation are integrated in the process. Furthermore Liquisort Overdie B.V. has a laboratory where, besides quality inspections, various tests can be accomplished.
